Hi, I'm new here but have had a Note 9 for quite a while now. I recently discovered this little gizmo, which allows me to connect a USB-A drive to the type C connector on the phone (I had previously only thought this could be used for charging).

I like to watch movies etc. when travelling and can now download to numerous USB-A drives and simply plug in to the phone when I fancy. However, I was wondering if I may be doing long term damage to the phone. Obviously, I can't charge the phone while watching but is there any other downside? Battery damage, or overloading the phones memory. I love my Note 9 and don't want to trash it.
Thanks

Hi, @Steven_Ford. I'm not aware of any long term damage this could cause (I had done the same too with my phone). If you are still cautious, perhaps copy/ move the files from the USB stick to the phone itself. Hope this helps!
