Note 10 plus WiFi is awful

I just bought a Note 10 plus and as per title WiFi is very weak even when outbof the case.

1) compared to my tablet and Note 4 the strength shows less.

2) When I look at the discovery at home , I can st there watching as it scans and I'll see anywhere between 1 and 6 SIDs. Every few seconds these will drop in and out and that includes my own 2.4ghz SID when connected to the 5ghz one 

3) both my note 4 and tab s will show 8 to 10 SIDs constantly however long I watch. There is no fluctuation or drop outs.

I am really concerned that this flagship device should be so poor at reception of reasonable signals and I am wondering if I have a faulty device or this is an issue with this model.

Can some Note 10 owners give me their experiences and findings so I can decide wether to send this for inspection or not?

Personally, I can't fault the WiFi. At home with Virgin and when at coffee shop etc. Never had any issue.

If I have it's usually with my router which is just reboot.
