No option to transfer files when connected to Windows PC

 In the past when I connected my phone to my PC with a USB cord in the drop down for cable charging if I tapped the space I had the option to transfer files. Now I do not. I have followed the instructions in similar posts to go into the Developer Settings but it did not help. The phone also does not show up as an accessible device in my file manager on the PC. I need to archive some photos off of my phone so I really need this problem solved.

Is it the beta ui or the stable ui6.1.1?

Hi

Try open phones dialer type *#0808# and select MTP (media transfer protocol) or PTP (picture transfer protocol) and see if that works. (Auto blocker needs to be disabled)

I have tried 3 different cables and 3 different computers.

Try different cables not the one who came with the phone

I had tried a few different cables but I found another one I hadn't tried. Using that one I was able to get my laptop to see the phone and allow file transfer.
