Hi @Michael bakken and warm welcome 👋

Your note 20 is still supported and it's on Quarterly Security Updates list.

And it should still be supported till August or end of 2025.

Hello 👋 @Michael bakken

Best practice is to keep checking in your Software Update section in the phone.

However there is also the avenue to update via Samsung Smartswitch.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

So what happens if it doesn't support, it is not secured to use the phone? Hackers can hack into my phone and Samsung won't do anything about it? Is that what it means no longer supported?

Hi, @Jus19. For clarity, if your phone is no longer supported with software updates, it will not receive new operating system versions or security patches

While the phone will still function, it becomes more vulnerable to security risks over time as new exploits and vulnerabilities are discovered. Apps may also stop receiving updates and supporting older Android versions, potentially causing compatibility issues.

If your phone is out of warranty, any applicable repairs would be conducted on a chargeable basis.

You can read more about the current security updates (and policies) here:

https://security.samsungmobile.com/workScope.smsb

I hope this helps.
