I have a note 20 5G.
The original battery that it came with after about 2 years, started expanding. I took it to a mobile repair shop.. They swapped the battery. The phone was working fine, but everytime i took a photo (esp if flash was on) the phone would switch off by itself and only way to turn it out was to plug in charger. Found out this was due to a dodgy battery. So they swapped it out again. This time it all worked fine.
Problem was it only lasted about one year. After that the battery started expanding again, prior to this it was showing the weak battery detected issue in battery status diagnostics . Really?
Took it to a different phone shop in a hurry. They swapped it out, saying the new battery was an original pulled battery. I noticed in the shop that the weak battery detected issue in battery status diagnostics was still showing. He said give it a few days after fully charging it and watch the drain, it should clear, if not we will change it.
The issue didn't go away. So they swapped the battery out again. This time they said it was a new generic battery however I noticed and pointed out the manufacture date was 2021 which was 3 years ago. They said it should be ok.
Again I had the same weak battery detected issue in battery status diagnostics and showed them, they said the same thing again.
So now the phone still shows the weak battery detected issue in battery status diagnostics. It says the battery will last 10hours in the settings. I find that actual time while using the phone for just browsing internet and few social media apps lasts about 3 hours after which it needs charging again.
So my question is, is the weak battery detected issue in battery status diagnostics reliable?
If it is then does it mean they have installed another dodgy battery?
