Failed to read data on my Samsung Note 8

I have been able to do call forwarding activation and de-activation on my Samsung note 8.

A few days back on 07th Nov, I switched on my call forwarding feature. Today I have been trying to de-activate my call forwarding but was faced with a "Failed to read data" error message.

Been trying a few methods but still to no avail.

Any advice?

Hi there 👋 and warm welcome you can try:
Reset your call fowarding by dialing on your dial pad.
##004#
then try going to the call setting to start call forwarding.
If this doesn't work I suggest you to call you network provider

Hi @nakag0 and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

Hopefully the excellent advice provided by @lminvti will help to resolve your current issue 😀

If it does not then try >

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
  • And as a very last resort back up and factory reset.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
