Recently the option Dual Sim always on is greyed out on my phone .. worked perfectly until a few months ago .. tried changing the sim cards (both new) but no success...
Making calls on both Sims works without any problem.. but when I am calling with one card I'm not reachable on the other...
Any advice??

I have 2x eSIM: the Dual-SIM always on is greyed out. 😞
Samsung why not fix this problem?
What is the solution for 2x eSIM?

Has anyone solved this? I have an unlocked s24 ultra. I have 2 esims but it's always greyed out. One of my esims is a data only multi country esim for Europe. Eurolink. I'm not sure but that esim is always on roaming and am I right in thinking that you are not allowed to use duel esims while on roaming?

I found the solution to this problem as I was having the same problem myself. I have a US number which I need for verification of all my US account information (bank ect.) but I am current staying in Thailand which would be hell on my data with international roaming charges so I have also aquired a local Thailand phone plan.
As you've said, the "Dual Sims" option was greyed out and when I tried to toggle it on it simply initiated a spinning icon then flopped back to grey. By dumb luck I looked at both my US and Thai numbers and noticed my Thai number used the out of country code (+66) for the number listed. I changed the Thailand country code from the international dial out numbers to it's LOCAL country dial code (0, then main number) and BOOM. I was able to toggle on Dual Sim mode.
TL:DR
Navigate thru settings (as I said before it was dumb luck I did this) find where both numbers are stored for each sim (I do not remember what I did to get here) Change the country code from an international dial out code to a local one. That worked for me.
I do remember doing this is sim settings, but I can not seem to replicate or find where to see those numbers after having changed them.

FYI: I was able to turn roaming data OFF after doing this!
I also set "Allow secondary SIM to use data during calls" as well as wifi calling ON.
After doing this I see the "local" Thai number as the primary number, leaving the US number as secondary as to use as little of the US number rescorces as possible for when I need to call or use txt for verification.
For everything else I use WHATSAPP for messages, calls and video chat :).

Thanks for all that but been there and done all of that. And none of it worked for me. I basically now just use the barebones tello number simply as the cheapest way to keep a US cell plan and that allows me to link that to a google voice number. With the Google Voice number then I can receive calls and texts from the US as long as i'm on any data either wifi or out and about on my Spain cell plan. If for some reason I have a situation where the two step verification from the US doesn't allow the google voice number then I can switch on the tello sim on the wifi at home and get the verification code via the tello number. That's how I solved the issue that it really didn't do what they promised it would. For me the out of pocket is the same either way. People just had to be given a new US google voice number which really wasn't that big of a deal. I'm slowly getting them on to whatsapp cause the US always has to be different.

If you use two E Sims you cannot use them simultaneously but if you have one physical sim installed and an ESIM installed those two can be used simultaneously. Hope that helps
