Camera AutoFocus

Hi,

I have a Note 20 Ultra 5G 512GB

After May update. My cameras have been having issues auto focusing. I have tried everything from camera reset to phone reset.

The camera is not scratched or damaged. I have cleaned the lense on the outside. It seems there is a outstanding bug. 

On XDA forums I have noticed few people reporting similar issues. 

I tried VSCO and GrapheneOS camera apps and photos are getting taken fine. 

Native camera app seems to have issues. I think it's a bit better in Native camera when it is set to pro mode. 

There is definitely a ongoing bug. I have a Vodafone supplied Note 20

Agreed, this seems to happen with Samsung Galaxy A53 5G too, and it also takes pictures as if they are oil paintings which is weird

The camera is still excellent on my A53 5G but not on my S20 Ultra. Like yourself, a software update has most definitely spoiled the auto focusing. Whereby it only focuses on close subjects.

I think you are right. Close subjects its a bit better but even then the edges are blurry

Yes, Samsung needs to address this problem.
