Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > VoLTE calls SIM 1. Turn on. Or you should be able to search for it in Settings via the search bar

As for 2g, that isn't going anywhere for the next 7 or 8 years so you're unlikely to still have that device by then anyway.
3g is being turned off.

Do you have an option in mobile networ settings to select 4G/3G/2G (auto) or LTE ? If so select one with 4G and above.
Try reseting network settings by going to :
Settings > general management > reset > reset mobile network settings
Have Tesco mobile turned it on on your account?
I do not have this option to turn off or on Volte on my phone as it's turned on by network.
