Unable to transfer data from A20e to PC using USB

I have acquired an A20e and I cannot get my PC (Windows 10) to recognise it when I connect it using a USB cable. It charges from the PC but there is no acknowledgement on the phone or PC that it is connected. The only notification I get on the phone is that it is cable charging.

I have already tried;

- restarting both devices

- using a different USB cable

- ensuring the default USB setting on the phone (in developer options) is set to "Transferring files"

Hi, and welcome to the community

When you plug into your PC, you should get a notification on your phone. Swipe down from top of screen to see it. (1st screenshot)

Tap the notification for options (2nd screenshot) ensure you toggle the correct option

This could be a cable problem. What cable are you using? Are you using an adaptor or straight into the PC's USB-C port.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not using an adaptor, the cable goes straight from the phone to the USB port on the PC. It's the cable that came with the phone (though I have also tried another cable).

When I connect the phone to the PC I don't get the notifications that you show. I only get the bottom one (Charging). So I can't access the options that you show on your second screenshot

Still might be a cable problem. However, try hard resetting your phone.

With the device powered up, Hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. Device will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

Also, I notice you are still using Windows 10. Although, I know of no limitations here, I must point out that I have Windows 11.
Try updating your USB drivers on your PC. Ensure your phone is running the latest UI and everything is up to date

Can you also try clearing cache from USB

Settings>Apps. Tap sort icon (1st screenshot). Toggle on Show system apps, tap done (2nd screenshot). Scroll down to USBSettings and tap on it (3rd screenshot). Tap Storage and tap Clear Data and Clear Cache (4th screenshot).

I have this same issue, however when I go to the USB settings and I select "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data" option at the bottom of the page, it does not fix the issue.😕
