Record audio on Samsung A12

Hello,

Is it possible to use the headphones output on my Galaxy A12 as an audio input? If so, how do I do this? Do I need to change settings somewhere? Also do I need an app for that?

I have tried audio recording apps in the past, but they only seem to use the inbuilt microphone. What I want is to record audio from an external device into the phones input/output.

Hi,and welcome to the community

Whilst it's certainly possible to have audio input via the phones headphone jack, you might only be limited to mono audio.

Can you provide details of what it is you are trying to achieve. Audio source? Are you wanting to just record the audio, or output it again to another source?

Thanks for your quick reply :). I have a Pioneer DJM750MK2 DJ Mixer, of which the USB record function works only with an app for IOS (apple) devices. I only have a Samsung A12. I want to record from the master out of my mixer into the mini jack of the A12 using some recording app, preferably in WAV format. Then after recording I will transfer the WAV file to my PC using standard USB cable.
