This icon is showing up, when I know nothing is plugged in

Hi,

My media volume is showing up with a volume symbol I don't recognise and randomly came on yesterday. I tired to make sure my headphone socket is clear and restart my phone but nothing has worked. Which has meant that I cant play anything out loud. 

Please comment if you have any advice.

If your having this problem try this!!
You can use something to clean the hole where you put your headphones.
 I personally used earbuds.

I hope this helps, because I've had this problem for 2 days now, this was my only solution
