This icon is showing up, when I know nothing is plugged in

Hi,

My media volume is showing up with a volume symbol I don't recognise and randomly came on yesterday. I tired to make sure my headphone socket is clear and restart my phone but nothing has worked. Which has meant that I cant play anything out loud. 

Please comment if you have any advice.

Which symbol are you talking about, looking at your screenshot the far right being the ear phones that's on nearly full volume the rest you have on low setting.

If you have wired headphones, connect to the phone and remove again. Check if that helps.

I only use my Bluetooth headphones, but thank you for trying

I would suggest your headphones are within reach of your device hence showing up.

Have you turned Bluetooth off to see if that fixes the issue?

I've tired to, it's not showing up on my blue tooth, but I turned this off. It's not working, but thank you for trying to help me.
