Speediest giving different results with Samsung phones 📱

Hi

Im using speediest.com (ookla) & fast.com too to check out the speeds of my BB (not yet fibre)

I'm.using Samsung A12 & speeds are much lower (less than half) 85Mbps

Just now

Speedtest.com

12.7Mbps Download

15.4 Mbps Upload

Fast.com

13Mbps > Download

20Mbps > Upload

Galaxy A04s
 82Mbps > Speedtest.com

79Mbps > Fast.com

• I'm not too sure if the A04s is actually older than the A12?

Can someone please tell me how or what is going on?

With the a series, the first number is how good/expensive it is.

The second number is how new it is.

The a04s is 2 generations/years newer than the a12.

For the speeds, there could be loads of reasons from signal strength, the way you're holding it, interference.

If we go down the route of most likely, the a04s just has a much newer and better wifi chip. I don't know that for sure but it's probably the answer

Yes I heard about the way the phones are numbered!

Then the Ao4s stumped me, 2 generations ahead!!

Well that would explain a few things then,

I was checking both in the same place,

And I only found out that, as I thought  it was my broadband was slow, not realising it was probably my phone!! 

& just recently I was actually lookin to see how old this phone was & read that updates stopped last Jan

& then got an update last week!!

This phone could ne on borrowed time!
