Samsung Text Messaging App - Google Text Messaging App Pop-up Very Annoying?

For some reason just recently now, when I go to my Samsung Text Messaging App, to read or send a text, a Google Pop-up appears asking me to switch to the Google Text messaging app, and make it my default Text messaging App, which I always press "Not Now"
I don't want the Google Text messaging app, I like and prefer the Samsung Text messaging App.

Now I have tried many times in all the settings to stop this Google pop-up from appearing, but nothing can stop it from popping-up.

So I'm really hoping someone in the community knows how to turn off this very annoying Google pop-up, because they have had the same experience and have stopped it happening to them. So, 🤞

I totally understand and appreciate how frustrating this pop up message is. 

Unfortunately Samsung at some stage is going to discontinue the Samsung Messages App , and then just offer the Google option. 

This is why the pop up is happening.

I haven't found a way to stop the pop up either so I just dismiss it and get on with my day. 

It would stop if you decide to upgrade.

very disappointing that Samsung are going to discontinue with their messaging app, as said I really like it.
I will continue with the Samsung messaging app till I have no choice, unfortunately.

Hi.

I only got the message once .

I still use Samsung messages.

Maybe consider disabling google messages and turn off all permissions for in under its settings >apps> google messages.

Hi, I've been through every Google message setting I could find to stop this pop-up, and there was a bit of a lull in the pop-up appearing, but unfortunately, they came back.
So, it seems we'll have to tolerate these pop-ups until we have no choice, and we have to use Google text messaging from then on. 👎

Yes, I have disabled everything connected with Google messages, but Google doesn't like you disabling their apps, so it reappears eventually...Google are Borg of everything on the internet. "Resistance is Futile"

no thos is not okay i dont trust google with my message data privacy at all i refise ro ever allow or agree to use giifl3 message at all perod ill sur samsung for  breali g terms smd conditions as samsyng message is the reason i stay with samsung and bot other android phones.  I hate qnd habe had bad experiences with google incadingy privacy and will never switch period! se ad i refused to agree to switch to google drive bs and stored ***** ony laptops external HD as backup storage spot inatead. I  will never agree to use Google for any data or privacy needed stuff ever!

No i will never agree or allow google to have control over myrssages they are horrendously onvasive of privacy. I do mot agree to allow samsung to move anything of mine ever to a google system period. I hate and distrust goigle fully. its never going to be allowed ony phome. aits a sole reason i use samsung is to avoid google invading my privacy. Ill sur samsung if the ever try it period i font want Google period ever!

i domt know what ill do vause i adamentlu ahainst usimg or allowing any google apps on my phone i hate and ha e had horrible traumatic experiences with google mot reapecting my privacy. not having google messeges is the reason i buy samsung phones i dont want google or Apple in mt data messages or business anymore than possible.  i hate google ill aue samsung as this is a breach of terms agreed upon when o bought my s21 period I will never agree or allow google messages on my phones period ill take legal action if needed to stip rhem beong allowed to force google on me!
