Having transferred my mp3 music from my laptop to my A35 5G. Using Samsung music app. Many of the track's just skip through. Until a random unselected track starts playing.
I've tried loading to devices internal memory. And it's external SD card. Using a card reader & a wired connection. The only message displayed is, Failed to play track. Is this a format issue? Or possibly corrupt file's?

Could be both. Next time it skips a track, try to make a note of which one and check its format and location in storage. Are these music files contained within a separate folder?

I have 9 folder's. Of which only 3 are playable. Thanks.

Check their formats. What happens when you try to play one direct from the folder? If they still don't play and they are of a format that's compatible with Samsung Music player, then it's possible they became corrupted during the xfer. Try the xfer again (maybe use a different method) or re aquire them directly from the phone.
I tend to have all my tracks stored individually (no folders) in the same directory. Internal storage/Music

Could of been a copy issue with the card reader

Apart from 3 folder's, they all skip. I'll try your suggestion.

If the originals are still on the laptop. I would try again depending on file size don't copy to many at one time as could crash

Thanks. I did upload all the album file's in one go. I'll delete the file's that won't play. Then upload separately.

Thanks. As said too, they may have become corrupted in the xfer. Try xfer again, maybe use a different method too.

@Teknafobe  yes check the affected files definitely are mp3's or another supported file format, though could be folder issue/corruption.  Due to changes in codec  support policy  WMA/WMV  codecs are no longer supported in new products from 2021 onwards.

Samsung Music  natively supports these file types:  mp3, m4a, mp4, 3gp, 3ga, ogg, oga, aac, and flac. some other Music players support a wider variety such as Poweramp and VLC.
