Samsung Account for a child

Hi People,

We just got a Galaxy A14 for our child. For the Find My Phone function to work and for the Galaxy Store updates to work it wants to login into a Samsung Account. When trying to register him for one, he is declared too young (and no other helping hints).
I don't want to enter my details, because I think that might create sync issues.
On a (US) Samsung help page there are steps described how to set up a child account, bur those steps don't match any menu I have seen.
I think these are two key functions of a modern device that should work (locate device/child and keep things up to date)
Have you guys have suggestions or solutions?

Hi @PolarXplorer

Have a look at this thread and the Moderators response about the minimum age being 13 years but if under 18 needs parental permission.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Hi, I have the same issue, I wondered if you had found a way to do this yet please?

Hi, No, unfortunately I didn't. I chatted to an advisor, who clearly did a Google search and pointed me to a Samsung USA article on this topic. I had seen that before, but the actions/options described there don't work with my version of Android / Galaxy. It was a dead end ☹️
