it charges just fine. it was working last night, but still glitchy when if turn it off. would take a couple goes to turn on again. woke up this morning and it hasnt turned on at all. ive forced switched off and on. every time i press the on button it flashes up in a glitch for like .5 seconds then the screen goes off again. when charging, the entire screen goes green/white/red/wahtever as if ive dropped it severely but i havent. (admittedly have dropped it a lot but i had the screen fixed a while ago.) im not even looking to fix it because i believe its beyond repair, but i dont know how id bbe able to transfer all of the data to another phone. the usb port wont connect long enough for my laptop to even register that its been connected and obviously i cant use the smart switch app. cant put it on a tv because i dont have the other stuff i need to do it. not sure where to go from here. if anyone has anything id appreciate it even if its confirmation that it cant be fixed 😞

Did you ever back up using Google or samsung cloud?
Use Google photos to sync photos and videos to. If so that's one way you could transfer your old data over to new phone.

Hi @loinbowl and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

Something in this official Samsung Help Link may help > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/i-smashed-my-screen-and-cannot-use-the-touchscreen...

If not maybe a Standalone Highstreet Store that deals in phone's may have the necessary equipto help and or a Samsung Experience Store.

I appreciate how cherished our data is so I hope you do find a resolution.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
