Hello

I have been experiencing issues with my fingerprint setup after upgrading my Samsung a70 to Android 10 this morning.

The issue is attached in the screenshot.

I think it has something to do with the upgrade.

Thanks

Because I never have much on my actual phone but stored on my micro sd memory card, I usually just wipe the whole device if anything major shows up.
But I understand not everyone wants to or can afford to lose information

I just did this and it worked.

Now my fingerprint is functioning properly.

Thank you

Same here since update on 9 April.

I get same message as you.

I deleted my fingerprint data but constantly get the 'fingerprint sensor calibration needed' message.

Really annoying!

I have just tried 'wipe cache partition' but no difference.

I was told by Samsung that I'd have to send my phone to them.

I guess they'll factory reset it?

Why can't they just fix this problem "over air"?

Doesn't work.

I haven't tried a factory reset yet.

Hi guys and gals,

Im new here but i think i can help.

I have an A70 and just updated to Android 10. At fiest my fingerpring scanner was all good but then just stopped recognizing my fingerprint. I tried to redo it but nothing worked. So i tried an old fix.

Go to your dialler and enter *#2663#

You will see the below screen, ONLY hit TSP FW update. It will update. Once done retry your fingerprint. It worked immediately for me. No errors.

You’ve changed your screen at some point and Samsung knows it by checking serial numbers of screen and deliberately deactivated your fingerprint scanner

I registered to this site only to be able to say THANK YOU!, I tried a bunch of things and was unable to make my A70 recognize my fingerprint again and your solution was the only one that actually worked!
