Samsung A55 5G Washed Out Display

I have just received my Samsung A55 via upgrade. I was pretty excited to get my hands on it, all the reviews were glowing and it appeared to be a reasonably significant upgrade to my current phone.

Unfortunately, it became almost immediately apparent that the screen looked dull and washed out. I messed with display settings, changed from Natural to Vivid, no improvements or any real difference whatsoever.

I've read this is a widespread issue with the S24, exact same issues people are describing with their S24s are what I'm experiencing.

This has been an issue for two months, and there appears to be no fix for it.

Hi

This is completely unacceptable...my samsung a52s had far brighter colours than the A55. The persons in charge making these kind of disastrous mistakes should be removed from their position. I've been a lifelong Samsung fan, but next time I'll be checking the competition too....You must be kidding us that we'll have to wait till September for a fix, outright scandalous. Screencolors  look like a B-rated movie...

I got the update on my A35 and have the slider. It seems better, but not sure if colours are correct. My calender icon is still different colour to my a30.

Can u share screenshots of the build number u received for a35? Also share country and vivid slider screenshot if possible. So far we haven't heard any news of a35 getting any such update.

Nice to see that A35 already got the vividness slider. Hoping to see it on a55 asap as well.

How is the vividness since the slider, is it an improvement from before with the colors?

I'm having the same issue and can't stand it! My previous A51 wasn't like this. The difference is shocking

Mine too and I hate it!! I contacted support on WhatsApp today to see if a vividness slider was going to be rolled out in a future software update for the A55, and they said they aren't aware of this happening. I hope it does, the colour are awful! It's almost like it's got a slight warm grey/ lilac toned filter on. Whites look grey, reds look a faded deep pink, and skin tones look lifeless. It's a really faded depressing display, nothing like my previous A51. It definitely don't look "more natural/ true to life" like Samsung are claiming. I'm finding it really irritating tbh

Does anyone know if the A55 will get the vividness slider added in a future software update? I've just switched from the A51, and the difference in tones is shocking! The whole display looks like it almost has a faint warm grey/ lilac filter on. Whites look drab grey, reds look faded deep pink, and skin tones look totally washed out and lifeless. All in all the whole display looks really dismal and depressing, it reminds me of old photographs that have lost vibrancy due to deterioration. I've seen some have been told that it's meant to look "more natural" but I disagree, it's just drab and irritating

I'm hating this too, and just posted about the same thing. It's like a dismal faded depressing vintage filter. I can't stand it! It definitely doesn't look more natural like Samsung are saying. Whites should look white, not warm grey, and reds should look red, but instead look faded deep pink compared to my previous A51. Skin tones look zapped and lifeless. It reminds me of if you found old paoer photographs that have deteriorated over the years, or an old coloured newspaper that has faded
