Hi,
I am having problems getting my Galaxy A30 to be recognised by my Windows 11 PC using a USB cable. I want to transfer files and phots/videos from my Galaxy A30 to my PC to free up storage on the A30. However I can only get it to connect for charging. Looking on the internet I am told to set the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) and swipe down to access the Notifications bar and choose USB Connections but no USB option appears. I have set USB debugging in developer mode and chosen Transferring images in Default USB configuration but still no connection on my PC. In Windows device manager under USB controllers the phone brings up Unknown USB device (Device descriptor request failed) I have tried to update the driver on my PC but it tells me I have the latest driver. I am now tearing my hair out but that is not working either. I also have a Galaxy S21 that connects perfectly and is recognised by the PC. Looking for solutions on the internet gives me lots of ways to 'fix' this issue but none of the steps relate to the options in my A30. HELP!!!!

Can you please check, are you using a charging cable or a charging/ data cable?

@Members_m8YVTyN If you are using the correct cable try clearing the cache/Data from USB storage.
To do this go to Settings-Apps- tap the 3 lines with the downward facing arrow to the right of Your Apps, toggle on show system Apps and select ok. Go to USB Settings- storage ,clear the cache/Data and restart your Device.
Now when connecting with computer see if this makes a difference.
