after updating my A14 5G to One UI 7.0, my touchcreen doesn't work at all anymore.

How to fix this?

Has anyone managed to fix this or do we just have to wait for Samsung to fix their bug which has rendered the phones unuseable?

Is there anyone with A14 4g that doesn't have this problem???

(Swipe to unlock is erratic - working 75% of the time)

Known issue with the one ui 7 update on the a14. Known as in I know of it.

Force reboot your phone or reboot it normally, should stop freezing for a day or two.

I recommend setting your phone to auto reboot daily

It sounds like you're having trouble with the UI7 A14 4G and the swipe gesture not working. This can be a bit frustrating, but don't worry—it's usually something that can be fixed. First, try restarting your device to see if that clears up any temporary glitches. If that doesn’t work, check if gesture controls are enabled in the settings. Sometimes, they might get disabled or reset after an update. You can find it under Settings > Gestures or Settings > System depending on your device. If that’s all good, try a quick cache wipe in recovery mode—sometimes leftover data can mess with the swipe functions. If the issue persists, a software update might be needed, or a quick reset could help restore the functionality. Let me know if you need any more help with it!

Thanks.

Is your A14 working OK? If it is, let us know.

I've tried all that and put it in safe mode etc as recommended by samsung support.

Software update is needed from Samsung once they realise there is a problem and they fix it. Ui 6 was perfect so its not the phone, and many users have reported the same issue.

I've left my Samsung A14 in safe mode for 2 hours & on-checking during that time - no freezing. .'. by a process of 'elimination' the cause was an App. that I recently downloaded which conflicted with the update. In my case, it appeared to be a PDF download which I uninstalled & now the 'phone appears to be working normally, again ie no touchscreen freezing !

The EMail contact for the UK CEO of Samsung gets rejected by the posting filter here. So go here https://www.ceoemail.com/s.php?id=ceo-9203

...and also mail the BBC at

...it's a consumer programme on Radio 4.

Hello,
I've encountered this issue yesterday. Trying to fix this on somebody's else phone. When got lucky that the touch was working I've changed the touch screen sensitivity settings (which is recommended when you use a protective foil).

go to Settings > Display, then tap the switch next to "Touch sensitivity" to turn it on.

This has been done yesterday evening and since then the issue did not occur.
Maybe this is at least a temporary solution. Let me know if this works.
