Outlook add a new account - A12

My current outlook app on my Samsung Galaxy A12 will allow my work email - great.

However I want my home email as well. 

I try to add an account and the process is so complex I get completely lost. What is IMAP what is SMTP.

I am quite old (57) but why is the process of adding another email account so hopelessly complex ???

Please can you provide step by step simple instruction how to do this. Key word is simple !!!!!!

It should just create with your password and e mail address.Try setting it up automatically and see if that helps.
I too have a work e mail.When I delete that on App I just enter the above and it works fine on my S21.

Do it automatically because it is easier than trying to do it manually is harder
