Hi, I am having an immense issue on my phone, which also many other people are encountering I saw online as well. I keep getting a non-stop silent notification which says USB Connector Connected / Disconnected. I have a A51 phone and since 3 days this is going on.

I saw many other people encountered this issue. I have tried many of the proposed solutions but in vain. Here is a list of things I did to tackle it:

-Discharge my phone battery to 0% then full charge to 100% with my original battery charger and TYPE C cable.
-Cleared cache and date of USB Settings
-Cleared cache of Android System
-Boot in safe mode and cleared cache of USB settings
-Master reset
-Wiped cache partition in recovery mode
-Downgraded to previous firmware
-Cleaned USB port with a plastic toothpick
-Put the phone 20 hours in rice and even used hair dryer
-Enabled developer mode and change USB default connection to phone charging only

I tried all these but in vain. The issue still persists. I have heard that even after changing the USB port, the problem comes back later. So, it is not a hardware issue then!

Please help...

It won't work, I factory reset my phone (galaxy s10) it continued with the same issues.

It's okay some days and other days it just does the same thing. The tab to disable the notification for the issue is unacceptable.

[Fix]

Hi everyone, My phone had the same problem the a silent notification was showing in notification bar saying ( USB Connector connected/disconnected).

It was draining battery too much, making the phone hot always, more lag ...etc...

Anyway, i forced stop two apps were called ( android system , USB settings) much times like 10-15 times in one hour

My phone battery was going down (draining) it reached between 25-35 idk exactly but suddenly a notification pop up and it was saying "there is like an error in a system app, please restart your device to fix it"

I immediately restarted the phone then checked the notification bar and saw that silent annoying notification is gone forever.

Idk if this will work for you or not but anyway i shared because i remember before two days i came to this post and saw that there is no fix found yet so i shared the method i discovered.

Guys i know how bad it was for me so i hope deeply from my heart that my comment help you all . 🤍

That's mad, mine seems to drain fast as soon as I plug the charger out at 100% and turn the tablet off. Power off. Power on again the following morning and it's half dead? Like, how? If it's off, how is the battery draining! It makes no sense.

Also if I take out the charger at 100% It sits happily like that for 10mins and I look up and it's a 80%!?

Makes no sense because I'm not watching videos or streaming? This is crazy that Samsung haven't addressed this when so may people have issues. I love my S6 tab but this has put me off buying another Samsung cos the ybare so unhelpful !!

One thing you can try

Fully deplete your device so it won't turn on at all. Then fill an airtight plastic bag half full with dried uncooked rice. Put your device in the bag and make sure all the air is out before you seal it. Leave it for about 4 hours. The rice will draw all the moisture out of your charging port and stop the short causing the error message. It wont solve everyone's issue but it worked for me. Hope it works for you

Lol 😆 🤣 😂 😹 I 1000000000000%  GUARANTEE this will not work.

Bush medicine 💊 will not do anything for this issue, it is because this issue is not due to water damage.

Please don't be upset.

I think I might know where the problem is coming from. Go to playstore, type in search "Android System WebView" uninstall this app then reinstall after a reset, I won't stop the issue at first completely however it will after the next few updates.

I am not upset Mohammed. I am here to help. Like I said it worked for me. Give it a go. It might solve your problem. My phone had never been in water but this was the only solution that solved it. I am now typing on the very phone that had this problem

Hey Alan, I have an S10 which had the same problem, I too am typing on the very phone. Its a software problem which I believe is an update from the playstore "Android System WebView"

I uninsured and reinstalled which fixed the issue, after a further update my phone is fine. It was a bug fix

Hi Mohammed. Yes I can get that and I am happy your solution worked. Unfortunately for me I tried that but it didn't work for me. I am on the A70. For 5 days my phone charge was only lasting 4 to 5 hours. I continually had the usb connected disconnected message flashing. I found the bag of rice idea after trying all other solutions and to my relief it worked. I was sceptical because everything else had failed and resigned myself to buying a new phone as 5 hours battery life is no good to me. Its possible there are different issues causing the problem but I have to admit that bag of rice saved me a lot of money. Currently on 30 1/2 hours since last charge

I actually bought another battery and charging port, I didn't get them fitted as it took a while for them to arrive and the issue sorted its self out. I have noticed the problem does still appear once in a while but not for long.
