This new update has got to be one of the worst yet. From battery draining when it wasn't before the update to barely being able to see icons. I have to really strain to see my battery percentage. Before it was clear when it was low, even if you couldn't see the percentage in certain light conditions. Now it's hard to see all told. My battery doesn't last long despite all the tricks to improve it. It was fine before the update. Now after 2hours use, the battery is almost half drained. It would last a lot longer before the update. The swiping down twice to see the music menu. It worked before with the set up being all on the same screen when you swiped down. Now it's like having to open another add on screen from the top menu just to see the playback menu of your media. 
Samsung. Why fix something that wasn't broken? Are you all trying to force us to switch to the competition or do you like losing money because you can't keep things simple?

Give it some time to catch up with the software.
Also perform a forum search as this issue has been reported alot of times already and you might find a solution

Hi @doesmybumlookbig  welcome to the Samsung Community 😀

There are mixed views on one Ui7 but a number are happy with it it may just take a bit of time to become accustomed to the changes.

Admittedly the Battery icon is not universally popular but a widget is a workaround.  You could send Feedback via the Members App.

A number of things can be modified or changed even if everything cannot be reverted.  See some information here credit to Roko621

Sometimes I question whether these posts are genuine and from genuine users or a small number of users creating multiple user names just because they think if they post a lot they'll get their own way?
