My phone upgrade with Gemini

Look I am going to be honest here. You all have messed up my phone with the latest update and putting Gemini on WITHOUT my permission. I can't shut my phone off like I used to be able to and I can't take that AI junk off.  You should NOT be able to put things on my property that I don't want and if this continues I will stop buying you product.

If you having trouble to switch your phone off and long press brings you to gemini assistant try going to settings > advanced features > side button > long press > power off menu.
In there you can also select the double press side button action too.

Gemini is more of a google/all android thing than a samsung thing. Google assistant got upgraded to gemini. You are free to swap it back if you want. The default power button action has been to open the assistant for a few years now, guessing your phone somehow reset your preferences and re-enabled that option.

As Iminvti said, you can set it back to be a power button with a toggle

Yours is just hardware, no matter what brand it is. The software is the property of the manufacturer and it is in the interest of their users to have the latest software.

Personally, I think it's better to avoid physical buttons, they wear out less and are less likely to become loose. I turn my phone off and on through the quick panel, it's easier, and the side button settings option is always available in quick panel too.

I also avoided side buttons for Gemini,  I wake it up with voice commands or through One hand operation+, BTW I took this screenshots with voice command Hey Google take a screenshot 😉
