New phone not performing properly.

I purchased a new phone for my wife at Christmas which is a Samsung A40 the same as my own phone. I have been attempting to set up this which I have almost completed except for this one problem. I have checked the trouble shooting and implemented all relevant checks but without any success.   The problem is when I am setting up a new password I am asked to enter the verification code  sent  to me the problem is that I am not receiving these codes which means that I cannot progress any further. And I have been trying to sort this out for around four weeks and I am getting totally fed up. Thank you. Derek.

Have you put in the correct number or are they being sent to your wife's phone

Hi there

Assuming you are using your good lady's Samsung and Google Accounts to set the device up, the codes will most likely go to the phone number or email address associated with that / those accounts.
