Hi all,

Purchased this phone last week. Very disappointed with it. So slow compared to my 3 year old A70. I have to tap the apps 2-3 times for it to open and sometime when I tap an app at the side of the phone  it brings me to the app list.

Typing is also a chore on the various apps.

Will I perform a factorry reset? I shouldn't have to on a new phone really though.

@Members_RB1ENRc Hello, check to have an update pending.
Have you restored a backup from the previous device? It is a possible cause. In this case, it is recommended to Reset to factory settings. Greetings.

I've just got the A53 5G and very impressed with it. That's after coming from the S20 Ultra!
It really all depends on what apps and services you have installed maybe?
Every Samsung I have, the first thing I do is enable Developer Options. Then speed up (or completely turn off) all animations and transitions. You have to know what you're doing but it's easy to look it up on YouTube.

No update pending @Ventor.

I switched over all my apps and images, videos from my previous A70.

I think I will try a factory reset again this evening.

Hi all.

I factory reset the phone again. And happy to say it seems to be working much better.

Thanks for all the help @Ventor and @Bigtasty65 , much appreciated.

Tomas.

I'm having the exact same issue, everything is excruciatingly slow!!
According to an above post, restoring from a previous phone could be the culprit.
I used Samsung's Smart Switch to recover all my previous phone's files, apps, etc...(+-15GB). Was that wrong?
Am I expected to restore all the apps one by one to get it to work properly!? (please tell me it isn't so ☹️)
