@Miracolous1: It is possible that the screen entered an idle state while you were using the Messenger app, as this happens automatically after a set period of time, depending on your settings (Settings > Display > Screen timeout). Did you press the Side button, or interact with the screen to restore the picture? Were you performing a specific action at the time the issue occurred?

@Miracolous1: Did you manually power the screen back on, or did it happen at it's own accord. If you head to Settings > Advanced features > Motions and gestures > Double tap to turn off screen, and toggle this option off, does this help at all?

It possibly just a glitch which can happen @Miracolous1

You can try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. { Repair Apps may not be availableto the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Series of phone's.

If this starts to happen regularly then a factory reset after a back up maybe the next step.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "
