Hi all,
I just got a new A53 5G. I'm finding the performance appropriate for the price and positioning of the phone. It feels faster than my good old S9+, now 5 years old, although I appreciate they are actually quite similar according to benchmarking apps.
The only issue that I'm really having is that music often stutters if I demand a bit more from the phone. If Spotify is playing and I, for example, unlock the phone with face recognition, or open Outlook, or scroll fast on Facebook, or a new message arrives on WhatsApp while I'm checking other notifications.
I've done quite a bit of research on Bluetooth issues. Changing the codec to SBC from AAC seems to have helped with no noticeable (to me) detriment to sound quality. I also re-paired my earphones, changed Bluetooth battery usage to unrestricted, removed the default video wallpaper from the lock screen, and changed the refresh rate to 60 hertz.
However, this is not just about Bluetooth. If I play music with the speakers, I get the same outcome.
Is there a way to improve this or is it really down to the phone not being that powerful?
I don't remember ever having this issue on the S9+, or on any previous phone I've owned to be honest. Previous phones I've owned might even become slightly less responsive if I was playing high quality audio, giving me the impression they were prioritising keeping up with the playback, but on my A53 this seems to be the opposite.
Help?
Thanks,
Luiz

Hi, I just read the posts, I have the same issue with the A53 5g, and I'm from Argentina, do you have any suggestions? I use a Sony bluetooth headset, and honestly don't know if it is that or spotify or the phone, I try everything

Yeah, they made me do a test and I suppose they will check for solutions, but I don't think it will happen soon..., In my opinion, is the processor capacity, I don't know really, it can be anything, I don't plan on buying another phone with Exynos any time soon

Ok...I think I have something here, be patient with me because English is not my first language, Ok.
1 - Go to settings ...applications, enter, and in battery, set them to restricted, when you do that the program won't run in the background and consume memory and processor, do it with all the applications you see fit, and you know that consume too much memory, Instagram, Facebook, I don't know.., search wich ones are essential, I turn most that I could.
2 - Most importantly, in developer options, search process limits in the background or my case (limite de procesos en segundo plano)is the second in applications, it's set to standard, set it to 3 or 4, if you leave it in standard it uses all the capacity of your phone memory and processor power to run as many applications as your phone can.
With that and deleting cache when you see fit, cleaning trash, and downloads that are not useful anymore, my sound seems ok with the Blouthoot for now...most important tip of all, is never...never buy a Phone with Exynos....ok, I really hope you have luck!
