Messages in Galaxy A52S shows 2 unread although all messages have been read and there doesn't seem to be any way to get rid of the 2. Any thoughts please?

Try a forced reboot by holding down the volume down key and power button simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it. When your phone resets, you will feel it vibrate.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Pull down the notifications from the status bar, find the message notification and remove it from the notification panel (swipe right)

Hi @Judesman. If the above steps do not work for you then I would recommend clearing the cache of the Messages app. You can click here to be taken to our handy guide on how to do this.

Thanks for your input. There are no unread messages and I have tried a reboot. The 2 remains!

Thank you, cleared the cache in Messages. 2 still there!

That's pretty curious. If the Message app continues to show notifications for unread messages when all messages are read, I'd recommend reaching out to your service provider for assistance, as they may be able to reset your messaging services.

Yes, I think I will have to do that. Thank you for your thoughts.
