Incoming calls not shown

When I get calls, I often times don't know about it until after, when I see the 'missed call' symbol next to the time. Even when I have DND turned off, I never receive a notification (or very rarely do, anyway) when a call is incoming. On my iPhone when I got a call, the entire screen would show the necessary information, and this doesn't happen here on my A14. Not even a sliver of information that I'm getting a call. Is there a way to make sure the phone actually tells me when I'm getting a call?

Ensure you have the appropriate notification catagories turned on

Presumably, the phone actually rings on an incoming call. If not, then ensure your volume is up and not on mute and that you have selected a ring tone.

@Stella_Bella613: Please can you also try heading to the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call display while using apps, and select 'Full screen' to see if this helps.
