What is the reason for the high temperature for a long time without running any application, even with the phone turned off, and the battery draining quickly by 40% in an hour and a half with Instagram Reels only?

That sounds like either a rogue background process or a battery issue. If the phone is hot even when off, that could point to a hardware fault — like a short circuit or damaged battery.

Here’s what I’d try:

Use Samsung Members Diagnostics > Battery & Temperature to see if it flags anything.

Boot into Safe Mode to check if a third-party app is misbehaving.

Go to Battery settings and limit Instagram’s background use or put it in Deep Sleep.


If it still heats up when off, def contact Samsung — that’s not normal and could be risky.

1. Sync errors ( Check accounts > under phone settings)

2. Always ON location access by rogue apps.( check location permissions off apps)

3. Always ON Data by rogue apps ( same as above)

4. Poor mobile signal coverage or wrong APN settings.

Ps: Using social media apps under hot environments pr not will increase temperature as they always have location and background data ON and constantly touching your phone keeps its processing power running which generates heat 🥵

You have a temperamental phone which is ****** off with you. You have a angry hot phone. 😊
