Google Assist set up, but not responding.

I have a question regarding the Samsung 'A' series devices. On both an A25 and A71 device, Google Assist and Voice Match can be set up, but it will not work when commanded. Has anyone come across this at all? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and have no problems. Thank you in advance.

Could you please be a bit more specific when you say 'when commanded'. Do you mean when you say "Hi Google" or do you mean some other command.

Have a check through all the voice assistant settings and check they are set up correctly and have all the appropriate permissions.

Thank you for your response. It is when you say 'OK Google', there s no response on screen or otherwise. I have had a few people say it could be permissions. I will try that on my next client visit.

Thanks. Could also need to retrain it to recognise your voice.

Thanks. Yes, that part I know. The set up was quite simple, it would just not work on these A series devices. I am re-visiting one of the clients, so will try the permissions avenue.

Hi just check if your default assistant is google or bixby this is a common issue easy fix
