Hi,
I'm curious if others experience the same problem.
When receiving a gmail when the phone is locked but not in sleep mode notifications appear instantly.
However if the phone sleeps after 5 minutes the notification is delayed varying from 4 minutes to 19 minutes. Sometimes even more then an hour.
Does anyone recognise this behaviour?
Rgds,
Robert

@RobertA55: If you head to Settings > Apps > Gmail > Mobile data > Allow background data usage > On > Back > Battery > Unrestricted, do you notice an improvement?
Furthermore, please try heading to Settings > Notifications > Lock screen notifications > Show content > Ensure Gmail is toggled on > Back > Show content when unlocked > Off.

That does not solve my delay.
Show content when unlocked off, you mean face unlock for content., that is switched off.
Is my phone detective? Or just a software bug?

Update sleep mode is irrelevant. The delay is now always and totaal unpredictable. From 3min to over an hour.

I am facing the same problem. When I open my Gmail all notifications popped up. But without opening the Gmail notifications don't show up on the phone.
