My Galaxy A54, purchased new in February 2024 has overheated and the screen has gone black. I pressed power key for 20 seconds and tried to turn power off, but the screen disappeared. I have had it charged for one hour now and it is still hot. Pressing the power key again does nothing. No response at all. It will be under warranty luckily. I purchased the phone in Australia and am now in the UK. Is the warranty valid in the UK too? Help and advice please re black screen and warranty question.

@Anonymous User I'd recommend removing the phone from charge to prevent any further heating issues. Did this overheat randomly or when using a specific app? Please remove the charger and leave the phone to cool down, once it is cooled down, please try again to turn it on.
In regard to the warranty, as this was purchased in Australia, it will not be covered in the UK, this is due to parts not being available in every country as they can differ. I'd recommend speaking to the retailer you purchased it from, then they can advise further for you.
