Hi everyone,
I asked this question in April, but the problem still persists.
My Galaxy A40 has started toggling off WiFi when I wander out of range of my router. As It actually automatically toggles off the WiFi switch, it will not reconnect when I get back in range, of my or any other router. This is very annoying and costs me 4g data if I fail to notice.
The problem has only started this year, up until then it stayed toggled on even if no routers were in range.
Just to confirm:
I have 'forgotton' my router and then reconnected, logging in. No change.
The WiFi connection to my router is set for 'auto connect'.
If anyone has a solution, I will be very grateful.

Thanks for letting us know about the steps you've already tried, @foxinthehouse. I'd suggest that you try to reset the network settings to see if that helps. Open Settings > General management > Reset > Reset network settings > Reset settings > Tap Reset.
