As the title says.
Got a new Samsung A22 4G today since my older M20 gave up on me.
Restored all my old stuff to the new phone, but for some reason I just cant open the Messenger app for facebook.
Everytime it just loads either a black or full white screen for several minutes where the phone becomes basically frozen, then it just reboots itself.
I tried doing a hard reset, update with the latest samsung updates, reinstalled the app and reset the messenger app cache. Still nothing.
Help?

Same issue here on my wife’s refurbished Galaxy S10 (2019 model). Phone restarts when opening Facebook, and once it happened with Messenger too. Instagram seems fine so far, but since all are Meta apps, I assume that’s the source.
We restored her old data onto this phone, and I suspect that carried over something unstable. I’m about to delete all Meta-related apps (Facebook, Messenger, IG), clear cache, and reinstall fresh from Play Store without restoring data.
If you don’t see another post from me, assume that fixed it.
