Is there  a way to remove the white band at the bottom of the homescreen. when I press it,  a menu box appears saying Replace and Configure. When I tap on this box,  it is asking to tap to select a widget.

I have solved it. I went Nova Launcher settings and found an option for the search bar. I changed it to None, and the white search bar has been removed from the homescreen. Thank you all for your help.

We got a couple Samsung phones in the house, including A14, but I cannot reproduce your screen (tried Home Screen settings, widgets) to be able to help.

I have downloaded the Nova Launcher 7 app, so that I can have all my apps on one screen. Could it be this that is putting this white image (search bar) on the screen.
