Following a device update on my A53 28/11/23 my biometric fingerprint stopped working I have followed instruction to reset by removing prints but when I go to reset message on screen says calibration not working ...help

An update shouldn't affect your fingerprint scanner as its hardware, not software. could it be something to do with your screen protector?

I don't have a screen protector. The fingerprint symbol doesn't even show

Have you wiped the cache partition on your A53?
