I've tried without success to set up fingerprint biometrics on my phone. A prompt comes up as soon as my chosen finger touches the screen. I've tried every suggestion I can find.
- There's no protective screen cover.
- My fingers are wiped clean (and work without hesitation on my A70)
- I even got a friend to test set-up using his finger. Same outcome
- Screen is clean.
- All software is up to date.
- On the advice of Samsung Support I've done a full factory reset
- Samsung Support concluded I should send my phone in. The phone is outside of warranty so I can only imagine I'll be billed a pretty penny.
Is there any thing that's worked for others to resolve this biometric set up issue?
Would replacing the screen possibly resolve the issue?
Is Samsung Support expensive?
Many thanks!

Hi,
Have you tried the phone diagnostic test for the fingerprint biometric?

You put finger on power button, I think. I did.
