data usage gone to maximum in 2 days

Have Samsung a40. Data usage normally ok, but over last 5 days it's used 10gb ! Any ideas please to reduce it. Not using anything different.

Go to Settings-> Connections -> Data usage -> Mobile data usage and see which app is the culprit.

if you went through your Facebook app settings theres a option about "Autoplay" and if mobile data is on then it will use your mobile data automatically for video streaming so when you're scrolling down your newsfeeds the videos auto play. turn it to WIFI only.

under Facebook settings there are many options so its a bit hidden away... should be under "media and contacts"
