Best to backup photos and videos

What's the best place to backup photos and videos I am confused as you got google photos and onedrive ?

Which one do you use more?
That would help deciding.
If you lots of Google devices then use Google photos if you have lots of Microsoft devices then use onedrive. Or use both!

Personally i think some kind of external hard drive or memory card

I use Google Photos and find it seamless but it does come with a cost once you hit 15gb which isn't that much.

The only thing is you can't download google photos to Samsung gallery unless it's one by one does anyone know how to get around this?

I do both.
I always back up to more than one service.
Got so much stuff that I would be gutted if the one place i backed up had some issue

@Jordy0897: It doesn't hurt to backup to both Google Photos AND OneDrive, for added peace of mind. 

For Google Photos, please swipe up from your Home screen > Google (folder) > Photos > Tap your profile in the top right > Photos settings > Backup > Backup photos and video from this device to your Google account > On

For OneDrive, open the Gallery app > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right of the screen > Settings > Sync with OneDrive > Follow the on-screen prompts

Hi.

I use Google One ( I pay for their extra storage as its worth it)
Also now whatsapp uses Google space as well.

The reason I love Google is because I have a habit of sometimes buying pixel phones and also I love resetting my phones now and then just for the sake of it or after a major software update and backing up to Google has made it easy to do it.

As you realised the only caveat is the photos don't sync back to Samsung gallery.

I am not worried about that though as I use both Samsung gallery and Google photos.

certainly I would recommend backing up to more than one Cloud service foe piece of mind, I use One Drive as well as Google.  I also back up to an external hard drive.
