Samsung battery issue: The battery level drops suddenly after reaching 40% without any low battery alert. What are the main causes of this problem, and what is the solution?

Hi, and welcome to the community

Try a hard reset

With the phone powered up, Hold the Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the phone vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. The phone will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

Please also use your Samsung members app to perform a diagnostic on the battery. Just head to the Support section and tap Phone diagnostics.

It's normally when your battery gets down to 16/15% before it triggers the alert notications if you have it toggled on in battery settings
