Battery Drain A25 5G

I bought an A25 5G about nine months ago and within a few weeks I hit battery drain problems. Even when not using the 'phone the battery would drain quickly at around 3 to 4% an hour. Checking the apps which were using the battery did not help as nothing showed up. In fact the total app usage was way way below the amount of battery used. I installed Good Guardians and this did not help nor did blocking notifications. In fact I tried everything I could find to stop the problem and nothing worked. It seems that for no reason something sets the 'phone off draining the battery. For example, the other day it was working fine until I answered a call. During the call battery drain was normal but it did not stop draining after the call stopped. Over the next hour it lost 10% whilst I wasn't even using it and then for some reason it stopped. Initially I found that rebooting it stopped the problem for a short while but then even that did not help. In desperation I did a full factory reset but the only thing that did was waste a lot of my time as the problem persists. I have now been forced into using power saver mode permanently to stop it. I have consulted Samsung and they have been a complete waste of time. Once the 'phone is sold they don't seem to care. I have a nine month old 'phone which is pretty well unusable. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you solve it? It is the complete randomness of the issue which is frustrating me and the fact that nothing seems to stop it. My thanks for any tips you can give me.

Hi there 👋 and warm welcome

If you tried everything, you could try Batterystas reset if you haven't already.
Open phones dialer Type *#9900# scroll down until you see batterystats reset click on it and see if that would make any difference.

Thanks for the reply but I regret that it does not tell me anything I have not already tried. As I said in my original post " I have consulted Samsung and they have been a complete waste of time.". All they told me to try was exactly the same things which they suggest on their website. I told them I had done all those things and that was all they had to offer.  As far as I am concerned Samsung have sold me a £250.00 'phone and have simply washed their hands of any problems when something goes wrong. I feel as though I have had money stolen from me and I will certainly never buy a Samsung product again. I hope you understand my frustration here.

Thanks for the reply. As I said in my original post "Checking the apps which were using the battery did not help as nothing showed up" and "In desperation I did a full factory reset" so you are only telling me what I have said I have already done.

Thanks for the reply. I had already tried what you have suggested. The battery stats reset simply does what it says. It resets the accuracy of the battery statistics. It does not have any impact at all on the cause of battery drain.

Start to delete the apps on your phone, ine by one something is using your battery unless its faulty, turn off location settings , and apps running in background, if all else fails, change your passwords on another device like your computer, factory reset your phone, then once thats done, download apps one at a time,
It can only be one of 4 things, one, bad battery, two. virus or simular, which in some cases can give remote access to your phone. Three, poor connection to server , if your phone company has poor signal your phone is constantly trying to reconnect to a better signal, or an app or apps constantly pinging your phone and running in background, which off all apps running background. And look and revoke apps permissions for things they dont need, like photo app, needing access to contacts and phone and other private info. That the app dosnt need to run

Thanks for your reply. I have already tried exactly what you have suggested. I have done a full factory reset and did not use Smart Switch as I read that it can cause problems. I started from scratch and as I only use a very few apps and I re-installed them one at a time to test the impact on battery drain. Location services is off. I can see then'phone mast from my house and I get an excellent signal. In fact I use a 4G router for broadband because my signal is so good. As I mentioned in my original post, the 'phone can be working fine but then an event takes place which starts the battery drain off. The other day the battery was not draining and then I received a 'phone call. This set the battery drain off and over the hour following the call it drained 10% and I wasn't using it. If it were any of the settings on the 'phone, a virus, apps running in the background etc then surely the battery drain would be constant and not random? I have put hours into trying to solve this problem and Samsung have been a waste of time. They simply cut and paste the information about battery drain which is on their website. When the problem first started a reboot would fix it but that does not work now. I may be being overly simplistic but I feel that there is a process going on in the 'phone which does not always cut off and it drains the battery. I would have thought the factory reset should have cured it but alas not. I have to wonder if it is something to do with all the ridiculous and unnecessary bloatware which Samsung put on their 'phones. To say it is driving me crazy is an understatement! Thanks again for your help.

Then its either the sim card ir your phone thats faulty, try your sim card in another phone, if it works its the phone, as for the bloatware yes its terrible and to way to remove it, and it often enables itself again after restart or updates. If you get same problem in another phone its the sim card
