What happened to the background noise option during a call? I'm 100% sure there was an option not so long ago cause I remember using it.

This might be phone model dependant or region dependent.

I think the feature was called Voice Focus as intimated by @Fiona26

It appears to be on all the time now. I have it on my A22 5G but there's no option to enable/disable it.

When you say it's gone, do you mean the option to select, or is noise reduction not working? As I said, mines not switchable but it's definitely working.
