Auto create stories

I have a Samsung A42 5G 

In my gallery settings, I have selected auto create stories setting to on

But, my Samsung does not auto create stories in my gallery

My wife has exactly the same phone and hers does auto create stories in her gallery

Are there other settings that I should know about?

I have compared the settings on both phones and they appear to be set the same on each phone

@Kfordrocks: Apologies if you have already attempted these steps, but please open the Gallery app > Tap the 3 lines in the bottom right > Settings > Auto create stories, and toggle the switch to the right. Now, try taking a series of photos at various points of the same day, then head back to the Gallery app and tap on the 'Stories' tab at the bottom of the screen. If you can't see anything, please check back the following day to allow the story to conclude. Let me know if this helps.

I have been facing the same problem but with my A13, after the new update there isn't even an option to auto create stories; can you please help

I have a S20 FE and it does not give me an option to auto create.  How do I do this?
