I've the Samsung A34 5G 

But this message popped up I'm just wondering if it's ok to install or is it a scam?

I'm only asking because you do have to be careful these days 

I'm using Google messages but not seen anything like this before 

Edited to say that the message appeared as a drop down from the top of the screen 

There is nothing in Google play store

My son's A34 has the app as per my screenshot, if you don't, I'm actually inclined to think this might be legit - where does it take you if you click install

It's not a 3rd party app. It's an official Google app which you can find in Service Settings in the Google settings on your phone.

@Frazzlbiker , In addition to Google Play System update in "About Phone", regularly check here for any updates because Google releases them regularly.
