Any ideas why my a53 5g lights up continually when I have put it down, but not powered off?

Download Good guardians from the Samsung app store. Inside there is a 'good catch' (i believe that is the name) module where it will tell you what triggers different actions.

@amethystrose: Please try heading to Settings > Accessibility > Advanced settings > Flash notification, and toggle off any active options here (Camera flash notification and Screen flash notification). 

Also, head to Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Repeat notification alerts, and toggle this option off if applicable. While you're here, tap on 'Notification history' and this will show a log of your notifications, and may help to identify the source of the issue.

Hi, I downloaded Good Guardians but couldn't see a module that told you what triggers certain actions so still having the problem at the moment. Thank you for your suggestion though.

I apologise, I meant the good lock app.
You could download 'nice catch' straight from the Samsung app store with this link https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.samsung.android.app.goodcatch
You don't even need to download Good lock.
