A71 Bluetooth fails to connect to Car

Hi,

My new A71 5g Fails to connect by Bluetooth to my 3 year old Volkswagen  Golf.

Any suggestions  please .

It could be that the system in your car needs looking at.

Possible, but my old A8 had no problem and neither does my daughters A51.

They may have different software's on them.

Settings , about phone then look at software information @Gav2233

‘Software information’ does have a lot of information,  will need to compare it with the other phones later.  But if the software is either the same or different, what then?

Check under settings, apps and Bluetooth to see what version your all using. If Bluetooth does not show in the apps list then press the little dots in the top right hand corner and choose show system apps. The version is at the bottom of the Bluetooth information.

For example I'm using Version 10.

Make sure there are no pending updates too.

I'd still suggest to speak then with a dedicated car forum and the dealership of possible. 

I assume your phone connects OK via Bluetooth to other devices @Gav2233  ?

OK, Version 10 as well on my A71.   I haven’t connected it to anything else, don’t really need to.

Set as default -

None set as default-     Is this correct ?
